Just like foods and drinks that you buy, vape juices also come with an expiration date. So, what happens if you have a lot of vape juice spread all over your place which already expired?
The Expiration Date On Vape Juice
In case you haven't noticed, most of your vape juice includes an expiration date printed on the bottle. While manufacturers aren't required by law to do so, they still include the expiration date on each bottle. Besides, most manufacturers tend to comply with the Food Safety and Inspection Services (FSIS) guidelines.
According to the FSIS, an expiration date should be seen as an indicator of the quality if the product and not as an indicator of safety.
One of the things that make the difference between vape juice and other foods is that vape juice is shelf-stable. This means that vape juice is far less likely to react. So, this ensures that it tends to last longer.
How Much Time Can Vape Juice Hold Its Qualities?
As we already mentioned above, vape juice tends to last for a very long time. However, the shelf life varies from vape juice to vape juice as well as it varies depending on how you store it.
As a rule of thumb, vape juice usually lasts between one or two years when you store it the right way. Besides, the expiration date should be seen as an estimative of how much time the vape juice will last under normal conditions. However, you also need to understand that the quality of the vape juice won't be the same as time passes.
Some of the things that affect you vape juice if it stands too much time on the shelf include:
- the nicotine potency will decrease
- the quality of the vape juice will decrease
- the flavor may fade quicker
- the mouth-feel and texture may be different.
Nevertheless, this doesn't mean that you can't use your vape juice.
Another factor that you need to pay attention to is to where you store your vape juice. The reality is that if you expose it to the direct sunlight or extreme heat, it won't last for so much time.
